Green Building

Green building is the practice of increasing the efficiency of buildings and their use of energy, water, and materials, and reducing building impacts on human health and the environment, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal—the complete building life cycle.

LEED®: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings' performance. Lunday & Associates offers consultation and products to achieve LEED certification.

Photovoltaic: Photovoltaic, or PV for short, is a solar power technology that uses solar cells or solar photovoltaic arrays to convert light from the sun directly into electricity. Lunday & Associates, through its strategic partners, offers analysis that will include a physical review of your site's suitability for a solar energy system, an analysis of your energy consumption, and a recommendation of the most appropriate solution for your facility. In order to promote the use of solar power, local, state, and federal government entities often provide valuable incentives and rebates that can reduce the cost of a solar electric system. The availability of these incentives is an important consideration in evaluating the economic attractiveness of a solar investment.

CRRC - Cool Roof Rating Council: CRRC provides radiative property data on roof surfaces to improve the energy efficiency of buildings while positively impacting the environment. Firestone has a selection of membranes and coatings for these applications.

Garden Roof Systems: Garden Roof Systems are the system of choice when trying to reduce storm water runoff and the urban heat island effect.
